Arabic Numberals

[edit]

You are not helping to resolve this mess .--Vertaloni 14:10, 14 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I am attempting to facilitate discussion towards consensus. You are simply reverting and calling names. It doesn't take much to determine who is helping and who isn't. Peyna 14:20, 14 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Please do not keep undoing other people's edits without discussing them first. This is considered impolite and unproductive. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia under the three-revert rule, which states that nobody may revert an article to a previous version more than three times in 24 hours. (Note: this also means editing the page to reinsert an old edit. If the effect of your actions is to revert back, it qualifies as a revert.) Thank you. -- Peyna 14:28, 14 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Please respect the consensus

I request you to contribute in a positive way. Thanks deeptrivia (talk) 05:58, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

If you want the page deleted, go and see WP:RFD as it is a redirect. NSLE (T+C+CVU) 06:00, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
It is not an article. It is a redirect. Any deletion process should be at RFD. NSLE (T+C+CVU) 06:03, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
It is currently - key word - a redirect, and therefore I speedy closed the AFD. Like I said, I won't object to it being on RFD - any AFD will just likely end up getting "keep and redirect" votes. NSLE (T+C+CVU) 06:06, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia policy is that you use RFD for redirects, and AFD for articles. NSLE (T+C+CVU) 06:10, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
My whole point is that it is not an article, it is a redirect! You don't AFD redirects. NSLE (T+C+CVU) 06:12, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
There was apparently an attempt to gain consensus on the talk page for Hindu-Arabic numerals. The evidence on my talk page about the number of users who supported the redirect shows that consensus was reached, and should be respected. NSLE (T+C+CVU) 06:17, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Currently discussing with another admin. NSLE (T+C+CVU) 06:23, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
After reading everything, there is a consensus for the redirect. An AFD would be a mere bureaucratic exercise, since the average AFD participation has 4 votes, and there were 10 participants on that poll. If you insist on having the page voted for deletion, the appropriate place would be RFD, not AFD. Besides, I'm quite sure that an AFD, even if it were done, would get a "keep and redirect" consensus, which is exactly the state of the page now. Notice

The file File:Alkhwarizmi.gif has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unused, low-res, no obvious use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:01, 19 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
