First company to use refrigerated sea transport?

[edit]

"In 1903, United Fruit Company was listed on the New York Stock Exchange and became the first company to use refrigeration during open sea transport." According to the German Wikipedia, the first refrigerated sea transport was carried out by Hapag! The UFC only operated vessels of this type from 1908 onwards!

[edit]

The name of the company according to the article is Chiquita Brands International S.à.r.l., yet there is no mention of what "S.à.r.l." stands for. Can anyone add this important detail to the article? Dialmayo (talk) (Contribs) she/her 15:46, 17 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
