Neutrality

[edit]

Can't see why there ought to be an entry devoted to a mythological Indian trident. Questionable topic at the very least, unless one wishes to cover the philosophy and spirituality behind the Trishul.

If that is so, the references to Vishwa Hindu Parishad or VHP are entirely superflous and irrelevant. The distribution of symbolic tridents was one of thousands of political gimmicks that occur in a country such as India. It most certainly doesn't warrant an entry in an encyclopedia. One strongly suspects the contributor either has a political agenda, or lacks a basic familiarity with the country in question. In this respect, the outlandish comparison of the VHP to a "paramilitary security force" is particularly hilarious and lacking in perspective.

The neutrality of this entry is highly suspect as not a single incident of violence has been attributed to the use of a symbolic "trishul".— Preceding unsigned comment added by Conradx (talkcontribs) 01:06, 8 November 2003 (UTC)[reply]
