Primary topic?

[edit]

Anyone able to explain why Formula One gets to be the primary topic of this Foxtrot-number combination?? (See User:Georgia guy/Letter number combinations for the definition of a Foxtrot-number combination; the section "Foxtrot" to be specific. Georgia guy 20:24, 12 April 2005 (UTC)[reply]

And another thing, the primary meaning of the hypenated form is the rocket. Georgia guy 20:42, 27 April 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Because it's by far the most common usage of F1 - google it and you'll see what I mean. You're right about F-1 though - almost never used for the sport and should not redirect to the Formula One page. 4u1e 14:53, 3 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
See discussion here for a more detailed reasoning. 4u1e — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.67.72.226 (talk) 22:23, 3 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Split?

[edit]

Should F01 and F.I be split from this dab? Are readers looking for those articles going to enter "F1" in the search box? -- JHunterJ (talk) 15:28, 6 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
