Cleaned up article

[edit]

It seems multiple authors wrote the article without paying attention to each other's edits. The result was some confused sections with information not given in the correct order. I made several changes to correct this, including moving paragraphs around for clarity, re-writing some sentences, etc. There is still lots of room for improvement. For example, the sections "2007-2012: In private hands" and "Ownership" should be combined somehow. But more importantly, the article needs more detail about the day-to-day life of the company, like uniforms worn by personnel, noteworthy flights or events, etc. (as opposed to dry facts about shareholders). I'm sure Malev was a very important institution in Hungarian life, and this is not reflected at all in the article.

By the way, I made the edits before remembering to sign in, in case anyone is confused by the ip address.

Aircraft and history

[edit]

I have added some information to the section on the history, as well as the present. I also added the section on the MALÉV fleet (current and former). If anyone knows of any other planes that MALÉV flew, please add them to the list. --Hungarian83 16:49, 2005 Apr 11 (UTC)

Charter

[edit]

We should make a list of Charter flights the airline operates. The list should be a part of the "Destination list". Dagadt

News stories about Malev shutdown

Google translate of byline: "Sooner or later, the offices also have to leave the Malév employees because of the shutdown. There are cheap solutions."

I'm trying to find out when Malev moved to Lurdy House and/or if it made press statements about it.

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Malév Hungarian Airlines. Please take a moment to review my edit. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:

Proposing to remove "This article needs additional citations"  Done

[edit]

This template message was put up in 2010 and I notice that a lot of citations were added in 2011, 2012 and 2013. Most of the paragraphs now have at least one citation. The article actually compares well against a lot of pages on wikipedia. So, I propose removing the template message if no objections Malevan (talk) 20:16, 3 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
