[edit]So how do these birds make these conical mud nests? Also, is 'rump' really the scientific term for a bird's rear end?66.245.206.239 21:36, 2 Oct 2004 (UTC)J. Schwartz
- They make them with their beaks. I don't know if it is the "scientific name", but it is the name used in all of the field guides I have ever seen. Dsmdgold 22:27, 2 Oct 2004 (UTC)
I am trying to do a netting job to keep these swallows out of my eves however; I am wondering if a cliff swallow can fit into a 3/4" hole because thats the size of netting i will be using...--66.15.61.199 18:05, 14 November 2005 (UTC)renee@flybye.com

Photograph
[edit]It would be much better for the infobox photo to show an adult, rather than the juvenile, which has completely different plumage — does anyone have an adult photo (cough) that would be appropriate for that use? At first, I thought I'd come to the wrong article because I was excpecting a red, white and blue bird, not a buff and white one. Dricherby (talk) 17:18, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
