You will have to establish yourself as a good editor over a period of time to gain adminship. Here are some standards: Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Standards.

Welcome!

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like it here and stay.

I'm afraid that your list of people who changed the world is already being discussed for deletion, in fact it looks unlikely to survive. Please don't take this personally, it happens to many of us with our first few attempts, in fact I know just what it feels like as it happened to me too.

Your user page looks great, it puts me to shame! And your enthusiasm is a breath of fresh air. I really hope you stay and enjoy the project.

Please feel free to add a note to my talk page if there's anything you think I can help with. Andrewa 22:21, 29 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Hi, Sorry about your list- I'm afraid I put it up for deletion because the title was very vauge, just too many people have chaged the world (perhaps all of us have in our own way). I didn't realise you were new here - and I should have discussed it with you first. I notice that some of the folk you have listed are famous Christians - perhaps you'd like to see if their names are on the List of Christians - and if no then you could add them. If you look arround you'll find other lists too. Just carry on changing the world arround here anyway! Again sorry, --Doc Glasgow 22:32, 29 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Moved

[edit]

Your list of cool people who changed the world was going to get deleted, so I sneakily moved it to User:ImpalerBugz/List of people who changed the world. Please expand it and be sure to fill in articles for the redlinks. Maybe your name will be there one day. --Tony Sidaway|Talk 22:42, 29 Apr 2005 (UTC)

I removed the following text that you added to Cube (geometry):

"The formula to finding a area of a cube is "

I'm afraid you confused the formulas for area and volume. If you have a cube with edges that are one metre long, then the area is 6 m² and the volume is 1 m³. Furthermore, a cube has equal length, breadth and height by definition. In fact, earlier in the article the formula for the area of a cube is listed: . However, looking again at the article, I realize that one needs to know a lot of mathematics to understand it. Perhaps we should rewrite part of the article to make it easier to understand. -- Jitse Niesen 13:58, 3 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! You might be interested to look at the above, if you have not noticed it yet! ;)--Huaiwei 15:12, 4 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Cleanup taskforce

[edit]

Hello. The desk queue is how many items you are allowing people to give you. If you say 4, you will have no more than 4 open issues on your desk at any time. I'm going to set up your desk now. r3m0t talk 09:24, May 5, 2005 (UTC)

I set you up with 2 items, which is the smallest around. r3m0t talk 09:42, May 5, 2005 (UTC)

Your RfA

[edit]

I really would suggest withdrawing Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/ImpalerBugz. At 109 edits you are considered a newcomer by any standards and thus not suitable for adminship. A long list of oppose votes can be a little depressing - and I've seen it before.

Don't worry; you can be an excellent contributor without being an admin. I just suggest waiting a bit. r3m0t talk 09:38, May 5, 2005 (UTC)

Sign your posts

[edit]

Read WP:SIGN. You are expected to sign your posts not only on talk pages, but on any vote. I'm talking about Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Chanting Fox. r3m0t talk 09:49, May 5, 2005 (UTC)

List of people who changed the world greatly

[edit]

I gave my reasoning here: Wikipedia:Votes for deletion/List of people who changed the world greatly. Changing the title wont make much of a difference; such a list can never be neutral and would be far too large. —Xezbeth 06:58, May 6, 2005 (UTC)

Footballers info

[edit]

Hi ImpalerBugz, first of all, thanks on helping update footballer articles. Just a minor nitpick: there's no need to duplicate information that is already in the page, like you did for clubs. For example, Shevchenko's article already said he played for Dinamo Kiev until 1999, and Milan since. There's absoultely no need to duplicate that info. There is also no need to delete the original info, like you did for the Kaladze article, since a footballer's previous teams are an important aspect which should be in the article body. As for your "goals" table, there is no point of having statistics that need to be updated after every game. So I replaced them by links to official sites, which have the up-to-date info. One final thing: when you categorize people, you need to do [[Category:category name|Last name, First name]] so it's listed properly. Sorry for the nitpicks, but keep up the good work! --Dryazan 14:18, 6 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Left?

[edit]

You have not edited after 17 August 2005 and have been inactive since. I'm curious whether you had left Wikipedia for good? Are you on a Wikibreak? Or you have simply left without a note? Do you intend to return back to Wikipedia? --Terence Ong |Talk 13:53, 23 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

ESEAP Conference 2018

[edit]

Hello ImpalerBugz,

I’m Irvin from PhilWiki Community, a member of the Communication Committee of the ESEAP Conference. ESEAP Conference 2018 is a regional conference for Wikimedia communities throughout the ESEAP region: ESEAP stands for East, Southeast Asia, and Pacific. Taking place in Bali, Indonesia on 5–6 May 2018, this is the first regional conference for these Wikimedia communities.

East and Southeast Asia and the Pacific are the most under-represented regions within the Wikimedia community. There is a significant number of Wikimedia contributors in our regions, yet we continue to struggle in establishing a well-managed community. This conference will bring participants from various ESEAP communities together in order to better understand the issues and to look for solutions. It also aims to connect people of the Wikimedia movement within ESEAP regions, to share ideas, and to build regional collaborations that are impossible to achieve through online communication.

We’ve got a lot of participation from several countries, but we’re lacking from your country. As we need more participants from your country, we believe that your contribution and participation would be a valuable asset to the success of this event. If you would like to participate in the conference, please do fill the form as soon as possible (by April 5, 2018) and we’ll inform you if you get selected for the conference.

Thank you and we hope to see you soon. --Filipinayzd 06:08, 29 March 2018 (UTC)
