3600 years

[edit]

I read both

reaching the Solar System roughly every 3,600 years.

returning to the inner Solar System regularly every 3,600 years,

On purely astronomical grounds, I would add inner to the first phrase, but this is not a purely astronomical point, because Sitchin's book is not of this kind.

NOTE: I have written this comment because I had to "explain" Sitchin work to an **** (untranslatable italian word) and the difference of the two phrases allowed two different interpretations that explained alternatively ... what you may image. 151.29.149.29 (talk) 12:22, 7 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I added "inner". --Hob Gadling (talk) 12:54, 7 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Does writing in American make him an American writer?

[edit]

@Hob Gadling I don't actually think so. Is he really a writer from New York City? He's in that category. Sadly we have few rs for all this, the NYT source is an interview for instance. Our sources say he was raised in Palestine and Israel. He was born in 1920. The article says he went to LSE and he's listed atList of people associated with the London School of Economics. But there's no source. When did he go there? I'm trying to join the alumni association so I can search it but that might be difficult as I have so little detail of my studies there except my MSc. certificate. I do not do categories any more since they are just Wild West - WP:OPINIONCAT is sometimes followed, sometimes not, with lots of lively "Critics of..." categories, people like Zaid Hamid being in Category:Critics of Judaism and Kent Hovind in Category:Critics of atheism but Category:Climate change denial regularly being deleted from BLPs because about five people agreed on that, with at least one of them having been indeffed for denialism.
I do not care about nationalities, I just did gopher work back then. Do whatever you want. --Hob Gadling (talk) 09:59, 2 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Hob Gadling Thanks. Doug Weller talk 12:49, 2 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I do most of my work in categories, nowadays. But we have had regular deletions of categories by consensus of less than five people. Few people frequent these discussions, and there is little to no effort to notify the WikiProjects about these discussions. Dimadick (talk) 19:22, 3 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
