Untitled
[edit]Nice article from the 1901-1906, hence public-domain, Jewish Encyclopedia. Given the source, the emphasis on Jews rather than Moors is inevitable; comparable information about the agenda of a Moorish aljama would be very welcome. If you can give the Moorish/Muslim perspective, please consider editing the article. -- Jmabel | Talk 02:04, Oct 21, 2004 (UTC)
Aljamía
[edit]Are aljama and aljamiado really related. The etymology seems different, but it would take knowledge of Arabic to tell. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 84.20.17.84 (talk • contribs) 20 November 2006.
Debate as to first ghetto
[edit]The article, Aljama on ghettos in Spain, indicates ghettos beginning in the 13th Century. This sppears to conflict with assertions by tour leaders in the Venetian Ghetto that the Venice ghetto was the first.Dogru144 (talk) 17:42, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
