Oh, someone did not like that I added a few facts about the Town of Lancaster. Well, that's how it stays then. Tmesipt. 2.20.04. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.23.172.132 (talkcontribs) 03:13, 20 February 2004 (UTC)[reply]

Boy, what I reverted didn't look anything like what the Diff says got changed. I don't know what happened, but I apologize, and will put it back. RickK 03:37, 20 Feb 2004 (UTC)

Thanks, I'll continue to add new facts as time permits then. Tmesipt. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.23.172.132 (talkcontribs) 03:45, 20 February 2004 (UTC)[reply]

What's up with the randomness?

[edit]

The part about the middle school completion in the geography section? In fact there is nothing else about the middle school in the whole artical. Not that it's bad it just needs to be better organized. I'm going to try and fix up this artical some. On that note does anyone know the 'oficial' name for St Mary's? --T-rex 04:34, 6 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Where is this ranking that you are talking about???

[edit]

Is this a national ranking? Or are you related to this man? I do not see how this is revelant.

Jim Perrello, One of the highest ranked football players for the Lancaster Redskins. (1978-1982) Born in Lancaster but now lives in New Jersey. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.160.9.226 (talk) 12:43, 20 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Website not official

Resolved
 – "Website Not Official"

I noticed that the website listed within the box is not an official website (but is a website to a development agency within the city). I will look for the correct website and adjust. Thanks, Medic48 (talk) 00:43, 23 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Resolved. Added official address of http://www.erie.gov/lancaster/ Medic48 (talk) 00:48, 23 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move

The following discussion is an archived discussion of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the proposal was Withdrawn. Shuipzv3 (talk) 11:22, 8 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

– Shouldn't the bracket be at the end of the name? The lead section of Wikipedia:Article titles states: "...add distinguishing information, often in the form of a description in brackets after the name." Shuipzv3 (talk) 03:33, 8 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The disambiguation is actually "town" and "village", not "New York". If "New York" are the disambiguation, then it should be the one in the brackets, like this: Lancaster town (New York). Shuipzv3 (talk) 06:31, 8 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
WP:DISAMBIGUATION -- With place-names, if the disambiguating term is a higher-level administrative division, it is often separated using a comma instead of parentheses -- 76.65.128.132 (talk) 10:02, 8 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Just saw on WP:USPLACE that the current form is the correct form. I'll withdraw the request, but it seems according to WP:RMCI that this discussion can only be closed after 7 days. Shuipzv3 (talk) 10:17, 8 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Withdrawals can be closed, on common practice at WP:RM... by the nominator, especially if no "!votes" have been recorded, less so if no support has been garnered, and even less so if support has been garnered (seems to be some practice indicating that if withdrawn, and there is support, it can be renewed by someone else immediately as a new discussion) ; WP:BURO as well. It's up to you. If you think you should, just nowiki the move template and enclose this discussion in {{discussion-top}} {{discussion-bottom}} bracket. 76.65.128.132 (talk) 11:13, 8 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The above discussion is preserved as an archive of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.
