Sexism

[edit]

Is there any way to get rid of the sexism?? I've added a sentece to explain the situation.100110100 09:43, 5 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Minor edit

[edit]

Rewrite ... puck deflected into the goal by the high stick by an attacking player. by using of an attacking player. I don't follow hockey closely - would this be a grammatical improvement or do I not 'get it?' —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Brenont (talkcontribs) 00:29, 23 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Merger

[edit]

I suggest merging the assitante refree section regarding ice hockey in to this section as the association football section is being duly merged.--Lucy-marie (talk) 15:49, 3 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

TD Banknorth Garden goal judge

[edit]

I've removed the video goal judge from the TD Banknorth Garden; I don't think that a particular NHL goal judge is relevant to this general topic. He may be relevant to the Garden or Boston Bruins page. Either way, the claim certainly needs to be cited. (This whole article is lacking citations, but that doesn't make this one OK.) If it is to be included here, I think the wording should be revised to have some indication of relevancy about video goal judges in general.

For reference, the removed clause is "The TD Banknorth Center in Boston has reviewd many controversial calls. The video reply judge for the Boston Bruins is Kyle M. Messier. He has been seen donning 2 to 3 telephones at a time while reviewing the play on 5 different tv sets, all while giving a shoulder thrust and making an "X" sign with his arms. The crowds seem to love this." Ashill (talk) 15:12, 28 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Who's The Ref?

[edit]

On this page, this picture claims that this ref is Dean Morton, however on Georgia Ice Dogs hockey, under the coachs section, the same picture appers, claiming to be Mike Legros. Anyone who it is?Funga (talk) 14:17, 3 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

List of NHL officials

[edit]

Could we put the list of NHL officials on another page? There are various other leagues around the world, and placing this list here on this general ice hockey article, taking up about a third of the page, seems to give the NHL too much undue weight. Zzyzx11 (talk) 07:40, 23 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds good to me, you can go ahead and do that if you want. C628 (talk) 21:26, 1 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Is it really important to list the provincial flags next to each name? I feel it clutters the list. Morever, not all officials have their State/province listed, making the list seemed biased towards Canadian officials. 159.18.16.51 (talk) 17:54, 10 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Done. See List of NHL on-ice officials. — Twas Now ( talkcontribse-mail ) 03:28, 7 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
