Last Battle
[edit]Battle of Yorktown was last batttle
It was the last major battle of the American War of Independence. However, Yorktown was also used as the base for the Federal Army of the Potomac under General George McClellan in the 1862 Peninsular Campaign. -- GABaker
- It wasn't the last battle of the war. There was heavy fighting at sea and at the Great Siege of Gibraltar, the following year. I'm changing the text to reflect this.Lord Cornwallis (talk) 04:58, 28 December 2008 (UTC)
