balto-slavic

[edit]

hello Ivi, thanks for signing up. Please come to Talk:Balto-Slavic languages to address the topic of relationship between Baltic and Slavic languages. dab () 08:22, 1 Apr 2005 (UTC)

also, you may want to confirm or deny that you are actually the same user as User:Monmartre. It seems very unlikely that two users should appear at the same time, both with an interest for the Baltic as well as for Shpongle. Since Monmartre has already denied to be identical with User:83.223.132.198, you would either have to say that you are in fact Monmartre, or that you are in fact 83.223.132.198, or that we have actually three independent new users with an interest in Baltic languages and Shpongle. dab () 08:28, 1 Apr 2005 (UTC)

I finally remembered the password for my account. Whom do do I ask to have Monmartre puppet-account deleted? Ivi
it's ok, no need to delete it. Just put a note there that you are the same user, and nobody will mind. dab () 12:00, 2 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Northern Europe.png. I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag, so its copyright status is therefore unclear. Please add a tag to let us know its copyright status. (If you created/took the picture then you can use {{gfdl}} to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use {{fairuse}}.) If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know on the image description page where you got the images and I'll tag them for you. Otherwise, see Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use. Thanks so much. --Secretlondon 13:26, 9 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

You need to tell us where your images come from.. Leave me a message on my talk page if you're stuck. Secretlondon

Untagged image

[edit]

An image you uploaded, Image:Latvijas mazais papildinatais gerbonis.gif, was tagged with the {{coatofarms}} copyright tag. This tag was deleted because it does not actually specify the copyright status of the image. The image may need a more accurate copyright tag, or it may need to be deleted. If the image portrays a seal or emblem, it should be tagged as {{seal}}. If you have any questions, ask them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. -- 18:15, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Latvijas_mazais_gerbonis.gif. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Unspecified source for Image:Latvijas_Himna.gif

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Latvijas_Himna.gif. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 21:58, 18 September 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. OsamaK 21:58, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Regions in Europe.png

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Regions in Europe.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
